Please contact us and request a copy of your bill.
Why do more charges appear on my first bill with VinaKom?
VinaKom follows the industry standard of billing one month in advance for local services. Your first bill will show the following charges:
- Charges for services billed from your signup date until your first bill date.
- Charges for services for the next full month.
What Payment options are available to pay my bill?
You can pay your VinaKom bill either by check or money order.
How can I help ensure prompt processing of my bill payment?
Return the bottom portion of the first page of your bill (remittance portion) with your payment using the enclosed envelope. Please write your account and telephone numbers on your check or money order. If you are paying for multiple accounts, attach the remittance portion of each bill to ensure that every account is properly credited.

What are the USF charges that appear on my VinaKom bill?
The Federal Universal Service Fund (USF) charge recovers the payments VinaKom makes to support the fund. The fund provides subsidies to local carriers to ensure that low income customers and those living in areas that are expensive to serve have affordable basic phone service. The USF also helps subsidize telecommunications and Internet connections to qualified schools, libraries and rural health care providers.
GENERAL
How does a local toll call differ from a long-distance call?
A local toll call (IntraLATA), regional toll call or local long-distance call is made outside your local calling area, but inside your LATA. The LATA is a geographic boundary outside the local calling area but usually in-state. IntraLATA calls are not local and not quite long-distance. Long-distance calls are made between two LATAs. Any call made outside a LATA, from within state or between two states, is long-distance.
What is a PIC or service freeze?
PIC stands for Primary Interexchange Carrier, which is another way of saying interstate long-distance carrier. At your request, VinaKom can place a service freeze on your phone line to prevent your local phone service from being switched to another provider by anyone but you.
How long will it take to process my order when I enroll for VinaKom long-distance?
It usually takes about 7-14 business days depending on the local telephone company. When your order is received and verified, we send notification to your local telephone company requesting VinaKom as your long-distance provider.
How can I reduce the number of telephone solicitation calls I receive?
The following steps may help you reduce the number of telephone solicitation calls you receive:
- Contact the Direct Marketing Association to have your name removed from the telephone solicitation lists. Write to:
Telephone Preference Service
c/o Direct Marketing Association, Inc.
P.O. Box 9014 Farmingdale, NY 11735-9014
- You can avoid future telephone solicitation calls to your home telephone number by clearly stating to the solicitor that you want to be added to the caller’s do-not-call list and do not want to receive any further solicitations from that person or entity. The person or entity making the call must keep a record of your do-not-call request for ten years from the time of your request and may not make further telephone solicitations to your home. Tax-exempt nonprofit organizations are not required to keep do-not-call lists.
Why doesn't my phone line support the full speed of my modem?
The speed of your modem indicates the optimum performance possible, not necessarily the constant performance at which the modem will operate. Several factors can affect your connection speed: the ‘handshaking’ between the modem and the service provider, Internet congestion due to high activity or congestion on the phone lines in your area. If you think your phone line may be causing problems with your modem connection, please contact VinaKom at 1-866-908-0228.
